Rebecca Congdon, LMSW
Rebecca Congdon, Licensed Social Worker (LMSW), has more than 12 years of clinical experience working extensively in a multitude of mental health and medical settings. She works with families and individuals around issues of mental health, chronic illness, substance use, adjustment to illness, coping, loss, and disability. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Michigan State University in 2003, followed by her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Wayne State University in 2007.
Rebecca’s primary passion is working with adults struggling with anxiety and panic disorders. She believes that overcoming anxiety and panic is possible. She utilizes a mindfulness-integrated cognitive behavioral therapy approach (CBT) to beat anxiety. She focuses on improvements in quality of life by using skill-focused treatments. CBT is short-term focused, allowing you to enjoy your life again, usually in a matter of months, rather than years. Her therapeutic approach is both compassionate and goal-oriented.
