Our Mission

The Center for the Treatment of Anxiety Disorders has been in business for more than 30 years. Our mission, from the start, was to help people suffering from anxiety, stress, depression and relationship issues. We have distinguished ourselves with a treatment approach that integrates a range of strategies in order to optimize effectiveness and positive results over the duration of the treatment, and in the years beyond. We are not about a quick fix, but an enduring, constructive, self-generating fix. Our treatment program incorporates self-soothing techniques, mindfulness, cognitive behavior modification and hypnosis.

Our Approach

Our integrative treatment approach enables us to customize each patient’s treatment not just by focusing on his or her specific issue, but by also selecting the techniques and strategies each patient responds to most positively and successfully. Simply put, we don’t have a “one size fits all” treatment approach. We’re about individual fit, individual objectives, individual solutions.

We are passionate about helping our patients in the moment of need but, furthermore, we are passionate about helping our patients learn how to help themselves in difficult and stressful moments when seeing a therapist might not be feasible.

We teach our patients specific skills and techniques that enable them to interrupt negative, irrational or obsessive thoughts, diminish excessive worrying, reduce crippling fear of the future and dispel restlessness, irritability, insomnia and hypochondria. Most important, we empower our patients by teaching them to take charge of their own emotional responses. This is, with every single one of our patients, our ultimate goal.

Our approach, applied to relationship management, is to address globally the dynamic of the relationship instead of merely the singular bones of contention. Here too, a combination of hypnosis, mindfulness and cognitive/behavioral therapies has been quite effective.
