INSOMNIA

Insomnia, also known as sleep deprivation can diminish a person's quality of life, cause health problems, and put someone at a higher risk for accidents. Millions of people have what is known as a 'sleep debt'. In general, most adults need an average of eight hours sleep each night, however, some individuals need more than eight hours sleep, and some require less without becoming sleepy or drowsy during the day. If you have trouble staying awake, falling asleep while sitting still, at either work or home, become easily irritable and have difficulty concentrating you may be suffering from sleep deprivation.

When there are no existing health problems contributing to insomnia, then therapy can provide a drug free alternative. We have had excellent results treating insomnia through clinical hypnosis, visualization techniques, stress reduction, and guided imagery.

Dr. Daitch has produced a CD program, which incorporates the above techniques.
